Att. internet with food stamps

AT&T History. The American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T for short) has a long history dating back to Alexander Graham Bell. In recent history, the company was known as SBC Communications after the government break-up of the original AT&T in 1983. AT&T says it is now offering discounted Internet service to low-income Americans who receive food stamps, following in the footsteps of some of its biggest rivals.
